A few ways to make a parked break or lunch with a colleague your own.
Some breaks are best spent doing very little. Others leave you wanting a conversation that is not about the next job. If today is the second kind, a small game can give the time a different shape.
For drivers and delivery workers, these ideas are for a proper parked, off-duty break or after the shift. For colleagues, they work at a lunch table where speaking aloud is welcome. Keep participation optional; quiet is a perfectly good use of a break too.
A question each
If time is short, let everyone bring one question they know the answer to. Keep the subject friendly and give the answer after the guesses. It can be trivia, or simply a choice with a reason: mountains or coast, and why? This version needs no setup and can end after a single turn.
A category chain
Pick a subject and name one thing each without repeating an earlier answer. Countries, animals and musical instruments are easy starting points. You can play cooperatively and see how long the chain lasts. With a mixed group, choose a topic everyone has a way into rather than testing one person's specialist knowledge.
A spoken round when you have time
