The charging stop
You’ve plugged in. Now what?
Five ways to make a charging stop feel like part of the trip.

The charging cable is connected. Someone has bought coffee. Someone else has checked the battery percentage twice in thirty seconds. You have arrived at the unplanned part of the road trip.
A charging stop does not need to be dead time. It also does not need a packed itinerary. Try one of these five ideas, depending on the people, place and time you have.
1. Take the short walk
Start with the obvious thing the car cannot do for you: stretch your legs. If there is a suitable walking area, have a look around together. You might find a view, a café or simply a better spot to sit. Stay clear of vehicle movements and charging cables.
2. Make it a proper picnic
Move the snacks out of their role as emergency entertainment. Find a bench, put the food in the middle and let the stop become a meal. With children, having one shared activity can be simpler than inventing several separate distractions.
3. Play Twenty Questions
One person thinks of a person, place or thing. Everyone else asks questions that can be answered with yes or no, with twenty questions to work it out. Pick a familiar category if the ages in your group vary. You can stop after one mystery, and you do not need an app or a connection.
4. Let a quiz host join you
When everyone is parked and you have enough time, a spoken quiz gives the stop a little competition. Quizy reads the question, listens to your answer and keeps score. One phone is enough for a shared game.
Classic offers 10- and 20-minute sessions. Choose a session that fits comfortably inside your expected stop; charging times vary, so a quiz is not a charging timer. Setup takes a little time too, and Quizy needs an internet connection. Check your mode access and available credits before starting. If the stop is nearly over, a quick talking game is the easier choice.
5. Let each person choose the next small adventure
Ask everyone to nominate one thing they would like to notice or do at the destination: a view, a food, a walk or a place to sit. You leave with a few shared ideas instead of just a fuller battery.
Once it is time to go, finish the activity and put the driver's attention back on the road. The game belongs to the parked break. If a spoken quiz sounds like your kind of stop, hear Quizy in action.
